With the current success of her radio release Devil Won’t Take Me Down, Bailey James recently took a break from being on the road performing and visiting radio stations to sing the national anthem and support The Jason Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser.
The 21st Annual Phillip Fulmer and Charlie Daniels Golf Classic was held on May 21, 2019 at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, where 288 golfers participated. Country music artist Charlie Daniels was in attendance as well as coach Phillip Fulmer. This event raised over $250,000 for The Jason Foundation while also bringing awareness to youth suicide prevention.
According to the stats from The Jason Foundation, suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for our youth ages 10-24. Four out of five teens who attempt suicide have given clear warning signs. “I’m honored to be a part of such a powerful organization,” says Bailey James. “To be their National Youth Advocate means everything to me. I lost my brother to teen suicide a few years ago and if I can help make a difference in one person’s life, I have done my job.”
